What with the recession and all, I've had a lot of spare time on my hands at the pizza shop (I guess people are making their own junk food to snack on). This has given me ample opportunity to ponder life's little mysteries, including (but not limited to):
Why do people order more pizza on rainy days than sunny ones?
Why does red sauce taste fine in pizza, yet smell so bad when you wash it off of dishes?
Why is mozzarella cheese so hard to get off of metal pans?
Why is it that in some of the poorest neighborhoods, people will hand me a $5 tip, and in some of the richest, people will count out exact change just so I don't get a single cent of a tip?
How important are frequent oil changes, really?
Who decided it was a good idea to eat onions? I mean, they must have chopped them open first. Who thought - "hey, this thing makes my eyes bleed and tongue burn; let's eat it!"?
And finally... How much longer until I can find a real job?
Delivering pizza's not awful - my coworkers are fun, and in general the tips are good. But aside from allowing me to save up some money, it's not helping me get any closer to my life goals or anything...
