My First Podcast!

So my boss got his hands on far too much recording equipment to not play with it. Since he was looking for an excuse perfectly legitimate reason to use it, he convinced me to try hosting a podcast interview with one of our authors.

Since this sounded like fun very important work, I agreed! We scoured through our list of books for just the right topic. Something scientific, of course,* but something that our regular readers (soon to become listeners!) would understand as well.

We settled on the obvious choice. Climate change! Because everyone loves to argue about that, right? Or alternately, to freak out about it and stock mad piles of canned goods and inflatable rafts in their attics? (here's looking at you, Mayor Bloomberg)

So, if you're interested in hearing yours truly interview a very patient professor about her research on the history of climate change in the past, and what we should expect going forward, click here!***

Otherwise, these pictures are still pretty cool:

* I don't work in fiction, alas. But non-fiction is interesting too! Just, the uber-high-level technical books like Hydropaleogeographology of Prolific Sandstorms in the Asian Desert** might be a little dull for the lay-listener.
** in case you didn't guess, this is entirely made up. but if someone wants to start a new cross-disciplinary research field in hydrology, paleontology, geography and geology, just saying, I know the perfect name. ahem. *total expert*
*** also, yeah, I try not to say where I work on this blog, since day job and night job as mad YA writer are 100% separate for me. but in this case I couldn't resist the link. so just, you know. SHH. ;)
