Current Status of Face: Let us not discuss this break-out, shall we? It would get messy.
Current Status of Cats: Attention-starved monsters attempting to eat my feet. And/or shoes.
Current Status of Apartment: Massive explosion of clutter has obviously occurred. Also, some kitty-food-shrapnel has hidden itself under various cushions. And I don't even want to know what the splotch I wiped off of the computer earlier was made of. And sink exploded for real too this week. Plumbers have been intimidated into telling landlord we require replacement. Plumbers have not been seen since. Sigh.
Current Status of Computer: Low on battery power, and scorching my retinae.
Current Status of Edits from Crit-Partners: Strewn about house in out-of-order piles, adding to clutter explosion.
Current Status of Roomies: Likely highly annoyed at me for planting self on couch all week.
Current Status of Blog: Quite obviously neglected. I AM SORRY YOU GUYS.
Current Status of Inbox: Terrifying.
Current Status of Memoir: DONE. ISH. OKAY I AM SORT OF PREMATURELY CELEBRATING BUT IT'S A LONG STORY. Basically, it's at that stage where I'm pretty sure I've done everything I can to it. And my crit partners are sick of seeing it. But I'm still tempted to hunt down and
ALSO I HAVE A HILARIOUS WRITER-MERGENCY* STORY. But I will tell you that next week. So that I have something to write about after my brain implodes. And also because right now I need to go sort out my life.
*stares in horror at self in mirror and wipes up pool of water from the exploded sink*
* It was such a writerly-panic-y type situation I had to make up a word for it. Also I may have broke the thesaurus this week, and just resorted to inventing phrases. Shh.
Yay for the practically finished memoir. Good luck with querying and sorting out your life!
ReplyDeleteGlad to here the memoir is coming along so well. :D Don't worry ... the messy apartment is simply a symptom of a genius at work. :) "The evidence of our confusion, a life that left its mark." -- Yes, 'The More We Live (Let Go)'. Anyway, good luck when you query that. :)
ReplyDeletethanks!! and Kathy, haha, that's a great quote :D
